Community project in Sri Lanka

Volunteer Tasks:
Basic English lessons are taught to women in small groups for 2 hours in the afternoon, Monday to Friday. Volunteers must prepare (1-2 hours per day) to teach these lessons in a friendly atmosphere. While volunteers can seek help from the team for preparation, they are responsible for the planning. Sessions take place in a well-equipped center. The lessons focus on oral exchanges with basic grammar and use techniques like role-playing.

This program is available for participants from 16 years old.

1. Childcare in a daycare center:
Volunteers assist local educators in daycare centers for children aged 3 to 6 years. Activities include helping with meals, offering creative and musical workshops, supervising outdoor activities, and ensuring the smooth running of schedules. The tasks aim at sensory development and the overall well-being of the children.

2. Educational mission in Sri Lanka:
Designed for experienced educators, this program aims to support children aged 6 to 12 in subjects such as math, English, arts, and crafts. Volunteers use fun and interactive methods to teach. Teaching English is a priority, and there is a unique opportunity to teach at a temple for young Buddhist monks.

In both educational programs, activities include teaching, games, tracking progress, teacher training, as well as creating a fun and safe learning environment using educational materials.
