Turtle and dog project in Sri Lanka

Here are our 2 different animal care projects in Sri Lanka:

DOG SHELTER IN SRI LANKA:
This project is developed in partnership with a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of stray dogs in southern Sri Lanka. The organization consists of an experienced team of over 40 people, including renowned veterinarians, caregivers, technical staff, and assistants who provide daily training and support to volunteers.

Volunteers participate approximately 4 hours a day at the clinic from Monday to Friday:

Assisting during feeding times
Socializing with the dogs
Brushing the dogs and checking for ticks
Trimming nails and cleaning ears
Helping clean dog kennels, feeding, and administering medications
MARINE TURTLE PROTECTION:
The main objective of this project is to ensure the well-being of marine turtles and increase their population through protective measures. These include safeguarding eggs from predators and poachers, providing shelter for egg incubation, caring for baby turtles, as well as sick and injured ones, feeding them daily, and releasing healthy turtles back into the ocean when ready.

Volunteer tasks may include:

Caring for, cleaning, and feeding turtles
Cleaning the beaches
Night patrols during nesting season: Monitoring turtles laying eggs on the beach
