MARINE CONSERVATION INTERNSHIP OR TRAINING IN MEXICO
Come explore the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and embark on an exciting expedition with the dedicated team of researchers at the second-largest coral reef barrier in the world, located in Mexico! This incredible citizen science project will allow you to actively participate in coral rescue and rehabilitation, fish studies, and to significantly expand your knowledge of the marine world.
While the experience of a deep-sea expedition is exciting, the days can be long, and you need to be well-prepared. Depending on the team's needs, volunteers dive about once a day. Other tasks will be shared between training sessions, cleaning marine debris, and teaching environmental lessons to local communities. During your free time, you can relax on the beach, just a few hundred meters from the accommodation, visit nearby towns, enjoy local culture, and more.
Our impactful program in Mexico helps preserve various coral and fish species, essential for the survival of the reef barrier. To achieve this, we collect important data on the health conditions and changes observed in the studied section of the reef.
OPTIONAL: PADI Divemaster training and PADI courses. If you are interested, please let us know in advance.
